Rant of the day...

...PARENTS!

To you parents that put your wants and desires ahead of your childrens well being. To those of you that have children and still think parenting is an option. And to those of you that feel it is more important to be friends with your children than to actually do your job and be parents! You disgust me!

Parents are supposed to be committed to giving heartfelt and proper guidance to thier children, regardless of their own selfish desires in life. They are supposed to instruct, advise and be good examples. Parents are supposed to care for thier children and teach them right from wrong. They are supposed to help educate their child. Parents help mold their child into the grown-up they will one day become. (Your television, no matter the inches or pixels, cannot teach your child these very valuable things)

It seems that some parents in todays society do not take parenting as seriously as they should. They let their children walk around disrespecting others, fearing that if they correct him/her they will no longer be "liked" by their child. Grow up! You should not feel like you have to impress anyone! This is not middle school! This is the life and future of your child! They need boundaries. They need to know their behavior is not acceptable. They need to know that no matter what they do, you will still love them. No matter what! Believe me, they will thank you for it later!

No matter how wonderful of a parent you are...there is always room for improvement. Please...take the time and make the effort to strive to be the absolute best parents possible! Your children deserve it!
